The vice president provides strategic leadership for the development of the service line so that a full range of services is created and structured in response to customer desires (patient, payer, and physician). The vice president will lead the development of the overall leadership structure and strategic plan and generate goals and plans for quality and financial administration of the service line.
A VP might have the ability to apply and knowledge of facility philosophy, principles and technology. Additionally it is important to be able to demonstrate and provide examples of continuous personal progress and improvement in each of the fundamental functions and to reveal competency of financial management in an interdisciplinary environment systems thinking and efficient written and verbal communication skills.
