After the successful SOHO HOUSE clubs in London, New York, Miami, Chicago, Toronto and West Hollywood, this is the first in Germany, Istanbul opened in 2015 and Barcelona in 2016. SOHO HOUSE BERLIN includes restaurants, bars, large spa/fitness area, event space, a cinema, 65 hotel rooms, 20 apartments and 4 lofts.

Marketing Director Europe (m/w/d)

The Role...

Soho House is looking for an experienced brand marketer to lead our marketing efforts across Europe. Responsible for marketing, partnerships, content and creative teams based in Soho House European HQ in Berlin. Communicating to local and international Soho House members, and to our public customers to support and drive member recruitment, engagement, retention and to help drive business across Food & Beverage, Hotel, Retail and Spa. 

  • Responsible for Soho House’s European marketing strategies and initiatives for existing sites and new openings, including digital, content, social, partnerships.
  • Key support role for European operations, working closely with Director of Europe and General Managers, understanding business needs, setting objectives, strategizing marketing activities and implementing with local and wider support teams.
  • Managing local European marketing managers and regional support marketing roles, taking responsibility for setting goals, motivation, implementation, and travelling 3-5 times in a month period 
  • Overseeing helping drive local marketing plans and leading plans for European openings (Paris, Milan etc) and also for our existing sites (Istanbul, Berlin, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Little Beach House Barcelona)
  • Developing and activating creative partnerships, where business generates additional revenue, maximise reach or support brand positioning & marketing
  • Brand partnerships (automobile, tech, retail etc)
  • Cultural partnerships (art, music, fashion, design etc)
  • Including support for Cities Without Houses European events

 Responsibilities will include but not be limited to...

  • Supporting the Director of Europe with all management of Marketing & Partnerships for Europe, and the wider Soho House support team, create marketing strategies including content, partnerships, events and digital programs
  • Responsible for Soho House public social channels aligned with the company creative guidelines and ethos
  • Driving brand partnerships, and managing head of European partnerships
  • Build strong industry relationships with credible and influential creative entities and work with teams to manage collaborations that helps brand positioning member value and acquisition
  • Drive marketing activity for the public Cowshed spa and Cecconi’s restaurant and hotel bedrooms across Europe
  • Oversee the team creating and distributing of member marketing activity, events, content programming and business objectives including weekly and monthly member e-mails, digital member platform (website and app) and print collateral
  • Lead European digital marketing efforts across all channels
  • Taking the lead and continually review changes to the market activity, customer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary
  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts using pre-determined KPIs to measure success
  • Be data driven and utilize data to make decisions for marketing campaigns, interrogating the organization’s databases and external data sources.

Your profile…

  • Minimum of 7+ year’s experience in marketing, communications and public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the digital, hospitality, content, marketing, events or retail sectors
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at a time
  • Experience in international organisations working cross cultures and languages
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel
  • Graduate degree in a related field is desirable but not necessary
