More than 72% of the families face food scarcity with the effect that in tense times they have to get loans from local money lenders at high interest rates. 81% of the families have no access to sanitary facilities. Many children suffer from diseases and malnutrition. Around 30% of the children in the age group of 6 to 14 drop out of school.
