§  Produces food of high quality according to standard recipes


§  Assists with the preparation, presentation, decoration and storage of the following dishes:

o   Meat dishes

o   Meat marinades

o   Carve meats

o   Fish and shell fish

o   Sauces for fish and shell fish

o   Garnishing techniques and methods of service for fish

o    Desserts

o   Buffet Food

o   Breakfast buffet

o   Mise- en- place for banquets 

§  Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information 

§  Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled

§  Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service

  • Assist in receiving  and storage of goods

§  Cleans and re-sets his/her working area



  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures
  • Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals


  • Experience in the kitchen in a Hotel is required
  • Must speak at least one of the following languages: French, English or Dutch
  • Professional education related to hospitality sector and services
